TRIS
the game becomes an object.
Design by Deodara · Solid oak and Corian · Made in Italy

Tris was born from the reinterpretation of one of the simplest and most universal games: tic-tac-toe. A familiar gesture, made of essential signs and just a few rules, is transformed into an object to leave on display, use and share.
The structure is made of solid oak. The wood is carved to accommodate the grid and the playing pieces, creating a clear relationship between the natural material and the white of the symbols.
Not a game to put away after use, but an object that can remain on the table and become part of the interior.
material and construction

The body of Tris is shaped from solid wood. Carved surfaces, edges and proportions reveal the construction of the object, while the grid and symbols introduce a more graphic and precise element.
The contrast between oak and white immediately distinguishes its two components: material on one side, play on the other.
Each piece retains the natural variations of the wood and the traces of its artisanal making.
an object to live with
Tris occupies the space between a decorative object and an object made to be used. It can be observed, touched, moved and, above all, played with.
It is through interaction that the object reveals its meaning: its design changes during the game, and the composition of circles and crosses is different every time.
In the project
Casa CM20
Tris becomes part of the interiors of Casa CM20 alongside the bespoke furnishings made by Deodara, creating a dialogue between product, material and space.
