In contemporary design, the bathroom is increasingly enriched with details and elements characterized by a clear stylistic language.

Once considered a marginal area of the home, meant solely to serve practical needs, today the bathroom is expected to reflect the overall aesthetic of the living space.

Ceramic fixtures are now studied by designers almost as sculptural elements, or as components that blend seamlessly with the architecture of the walls—just look at the proposals from the brand Antonio Lupi.

One of the most functional and appreciated trends in recent years is the use of a thick countertop under the basin, with the siphon left visible as a decorative feature, just like the faucet.

These tops are often made of brushed and smoothed solid wood, or aged wood treated with protective products that guard the surface’s natural brightness against the effects of humidity.
